About me

With a degree in marketing, it may not have been a predictable choice to set up an online coaching studio. But on my own journey to find out who I am as a person, I missed having a place and a trainer who fully understood me.

That is why I founded We Are Queer: a safe place for LGBTQIA + people to work on their bodies in any way.

I am a non-binary person, and I use the pronouns they/them. To be able to say this, and especially to convey this so clearly to the outside world, was not an easy way. I have known deep valleys and now still quietly walk the mountain called life. So much of my expertise on body positivity and mind & body principles for LGBTQIA + community comes from my own experiences. In addition, I completed various sports courses and gained work experience with different types of training, coaching and people.

Because I am someone from the trans community myself, I understand the struggles that this might give you. Not feeling comfortable while exercising because you don’t feel at home in the gym and your body is a recognizable feeling to me. Because of this I also know a lot about achieving goals that might reduce gender dysphoria.

Because of my own research in sports and exercise, I have become a fan of strength sports. The thrill and confidence it gave me to feel my body getting stronger was insane. It contributed so much to making me feel comfortable in my own skin. But I don’t have a six pack, and I don’t need one. Of course, that doesn’t mean I can’t help you achieve one!

I am enthusiastic to guide other people in their process and to see what changes are possible. To see members with ever-increasing smiles in every photo is really cool and I feel privileged to be a part of that.
